MIAMI BEACH - Two local news outlets are reporting that Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth was legally drunk last week when he struck and killed a man with his car.

But Miami Beach Police, while not denying the reports, are emphatic about not confirming it, telling SunSentinel.com and other South Florida news operations that the reports are both "unconfirmed and unauthorized. Police spokeswoman Detective Jenny Velasquez told SunSentinel.com that her office was not the source of the information and no toxicology results have been released so far today.

WSVN News is reporting that a toxicology report reveals Stallworth's blood-alcohol level was over the legal limit of 0.08. The Miami Herald is also reporting that Stallworth was drunk, citing an unnamed source familiar with the investigation.

WSVN said it did not know how much over the limit Stallworth was.
